Newborn Photo Session

The moment you’ve been waiting for!

Your newborn photo session will be scheduled by your due date until the baby is born. Once your bundle has arrived, we set the date on the calendar for your photo session for the closest opening following your due date. If the baby arrives later or earlier than expected we can always adjust the date. It is my goal to be as flexible as possible for new moms.

For the best results, it is important to have your newborn photo session in the first two weeks of baby’s life ~ ideally 7-14 days new! This is when they are still curly and sleepy and they don’t mind being transitioned from pose to pose while they rest in dreamland! However, I have worked with babies up to six weeks old and gotten great results. As long as your baby doesn’t have severe acne, isn’t extremely colic and your baby is still sleeping well, I’m happy to photograph an older baby.

When you join me in the studio for your session, I will have it all set-up, heated up, and ready to go. It will be time for you to sit back and relax and let me do all the work. I provide a large variety of soft neutral colored wraps, headbands and props. There is no need to bring a thing. Clients have access to the ever-growing studio wardrobe. It is full of gorgeous neutral toned feminine pieces to wear during family shots. I even have a few shirts for dads. This takes the stress out of what to wear.

My photo sessions usually will last 2-3 hours to allow for baby’s feeding and soothing babies needs.

Anything to make you comfortable

Nursing pillow, water, snacks, reading material.

During the session, sit back, relax and take advantage of this time to rest.
