I had the privilege of photographing these beautiful little Battle Mountain Newborn Twins! These sweet babies were born several weeks early and I had to squeeze them into my schedule. I was really concerned because my assistant that I use for twins was not available. Mom reassured me that they would be willing to help out if I would be willing to photographer her babies. Well to my delight they brought her sweet mom to help me! I can’t thank her enough for the extra set of hands. She was so amazing and I was so appreciative of her calm and loving spirit. It was like I had reconnected with a long lost friend. I had such a lovely time getting to know her and meeting her son-in-law, daughter, and precious grandbabies!
I’m so humbled when people find me and go out of their way for a session. This sweet family traveled over 50 miles for their session. While visiting they all started talking about the babies story and I asked mom if she would be willing to share it! So many blessings came with these two special little ones:
“I was never supposed to get pregnant, let alone have twins. I honestly believe there was help from someone who is no longer here with me anymore. I lost my baby brother, Brendan Robert Young, to an accident on June 21, 2017. A day that changed our families lives forever. Brendan and I were very close while growing up. He looked up to me as a second mom and best friend. That boy and I were always up to no good.
It was Brendan’s first birthday since he left us and we wanted to do something special for him. But instead, he gave me a gift and a very special one at that. One that changed my life forever … yet again. I knew something was different with my body so I took a pregnancy test not thinking anything of it. As I took the test I just remember watching it show up positive. I was in shock. It didn’t make sense. I went straight out to my mom’s house with the test in hand. When I got there I told my mom that Brendan had given me something for his birthday and she was so confused as to what I was talking about and I handed her the box with the test and she just started crying.
