Battle Mountain Newborn Twins

I had the privilege of photographing these beautiful little Battle Mountain Newborn Twins!  These sweet babies were born several weeks early and I had to squeeze them into my schedule. I was really concerned because my assistant that I use for twins was not available. Mom reassured me that they would be willing to help out if I would be willing to photographer her babies. Well to my delight they brought her sweet mom to help me! I can’t thank her enough for the extra set of hands. She was so amazing and I was so appreciative of her calm and loving spirit. It was like I had reconnected with a long lost friend.  I had such a lovely time getting to know her and meeting her son-in-law, daughter, and precious grandbabies!

I’m so humbled when people find me and go out of their way for a session. This sweet family traveled over 50 miles for their session. While visiting they all started talking about the babies story and I asked mom if she would be willing to share it! So many blessings came with these two special little ones:

“I was never supposed to get pregnant, let alone have twins.  I honestly believe there was help from someone who is no longer here with me anymore. I lost my baby brother, Brendan Robert Young, to an accident on June 21, 2017.  A day that changed our families lives forever. Brendan and I were very close while growing up. He looked up to me as a second mom and best friend. That boy and I were always up to no good.

It was Brendan’s first birthday since he left us and we wanted to do something special for him. But instead, he gave me a gift and a very special one at that. One that changed my life forever … yet again. I knew something was different with my body so I took a pregnancy test not thinking anything of it. As I took the test I just remember watching it show up positive. I was in shock. It didn’t make sense. I went straight out to my mom’s house with the test in hand. When I got there I told my mom that Brendan had given me something for his birthday and she was so confused as to what I was talking about and I handed her the box with the test and she just started crying.

Wes and I  had our very first ultrasound on Brendan’s 7 month anniversary.  Well not long into our ultrasound the technician said there are two sacks!! I was confused and asked what exactly did that mean and she said there’s two, as in twins. At that moment I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry but I knew my brother was in that room with us just laughing. A few short months later we had our gender reveal and found out we were having a girl and a boy. I instantly knew that the boy was to be named after my brother, we went with a slightly different first name but it was perfect just like my brother and my baby boy. Brennan Robert Jones. We finally came up with a girl name,  Brynlee, and turns out my brothers first little toddler girlfriends name was that. So we decided on Brynlee Kaye Jones.
My original due date was supposed to be August 5, 2018, but my doctor wouldn’t let me go past 38 weeks so we’re looking at July 23 as my C-section date. Well, we never made it that far, Brendan’s favorite number was 8 and surprisingly guess who came into the world on July 8, 2018.
Brynlee Kaye Jones was born @ 4:10, weighing 5# 12 oz. Brennan Robert Jones was born @ 4:11, weighing 6# 7 oz. Even though they were early they were born perfectly healthy and didn’t need any help. I am very blessed to have these babies and I tell everyone these babies are Brendan’s because they really are. I wouldn’t have them without him”.
