Horizon Hospice is a community hospice:  a program funded by the community businesses and citizens.  Horizon Hospice is the only hospice program in Elko County.  They provide case management and volunteer services free of charge to the terminally ill and their loved ones.  In 2016, 50 caring, dedicated volunteers provided 2670 hours of service in an effort to support and promote the dignity and quality of life of 90 dying individuals and 630 of their loved ones.

The Horizon Hospice Annual Benefit “Hospice Souper Bowl” is their major fundraising event of the year.  It was such an honor to be among the many businesses that support this wonderful organization and volunteers.  I was so pleased to donate a newborn session for their silent auction.

This sweet little family was the recipient of that session. I think it is one of the greatest gift new parents can receive! Every parent wants to remember all the little details about their newborn baby…. those kissable cheeks, flakey skin,  cute button nose, tiny fingers, and toes. It’s a gift parent’s will cherish forever……long after the baby has outgrown that newborn outfit.  A gift that is truly meaningful and memorable!
