My goal as an Elko NV maternity photographer is to tell your story from the beginning. I want to document the fierce LOVE you feel for your baby from the start. Those fond memories of motherhood that begin before the birth of your child, while you’re still feeling refreshed, beautiful and excited about the joy of your new arrival!  This experience is such a short period in our lives…one to be cherished and celebrated.

As a professional maternity photographer, I will guide and direct you to pose your ever-changing body to look the most flattering. I have a few tips for you to prepare for your shoot!

1.  Moisturize your body and pay special attention to your knees and elbows.
2. Get a manicure 1-2 days prior. I suggest using a neutral light color. Your hands will be showing off that beautiful belly!
3.  I do have a nice collection of beautiful maternity gowns for my clients to wear but if you decide to bring something from home, be sure your clothes don’t detract from your tummy’s shape and natural glow. Avoid large patterns, as well as clothes that are too loose. Empire waist and wrap dresses are great choices to enhance your shape.
4. If you want to really pamper yourself and feel confident in front of my camera I suggest having your hair & makeup done by one of our recommended local professional artists.

Getting ready for your maternity photo session should be fun ….. you’re preparing for baby’s first professional photo shoot! Plan on scheduling your session between 32 and 36 weeks to ensure your beautiful shape has completely taken form. Often times closer to the 40-week mark you will feel discomfort and bloating. So it is best to do them early rather than closer to your due date.

Another great way to elevate your session is to include Dad and siblings! While most of the shots will be just you and baby, it’s always fun to change it up and capture everyone’s excitement about this very special time in your lives.
