Elko Nevada Wedding Photography
I think the most stressful day of my photography career and the most exhilarating day of my career
was the day I photographed my first wedding in Elko, Nevada!
Since then I have actually decided to forgo photographing weddings,
but nothing has stopped me from photographing Brides & Grooms.
In fact, there’s nothing I enjoy more than getting to document “love” and “relationships”!
I have had the privilege of documenting and photographing many “First Looks” and “After the Wedding” images.
What’s a “First Look” you ask?
Well, let me explain….
So many couples now days break tradition and opt for a “First Look”
by taking images before the wedding or some even choose to take them on a separate day altogether.
Brides and grooms want all the wonderful wedding photography with intimates pictures together,
formal images, and bridal party images etc.,
Often times it can take up to 2 hours between the wedding ceremony and the reception party.
The couple worries there is nothing for their guests to do between the ceremony and the reception.
Especially out of town guests.
Most family and bridal party images can be taken care of before the ceremony even starts.
Once the ceremony is over all parties can enjoy each others company and begin to celebrate the union!
Most Brides and Grooms I talk to that have participated in a first looks says….
We were more in the moment and not just focused on each other at our wedding.
We actually appreciated all that was occurring.
Some had said they had been to their friends’ weddings where the bride and groom were so nervous and they wanted something different.
They wanted to be relaxed and have time to enjoy their guests longer.
Some of my brides and grooms have opted for an “After the Wedding” images.
They loved getting dressed back in their wedding attire and re-live their special day!
Even “Mother’s” of the bride enjoy this special moment. There is just so much hustle and bustle going on the day of the wedding.
Everyone is being pulled in a 100 different directions,
this gives moms and daughters a special moment or two to connect.
